This is my first diaper cake, so I know they will just get better. This is made with a cardboard base supporting a paper towel tube attached to it in the center with tissue paper covering the base. Attached are a receiving blanket, washcloths, nail clippers, bar of soap, bath sponges, teething ring, top and pant set rolled up, and 3 pair of socks tied at the top and spread out like a flower in the front. I kept the cartoon band of the diapers showing for the colors. What fun we had making this!

This diaper cake was made for a friend of mine. I used about 43 diapers in the cake. The diapers I bought happened to have a light green design on them. It gave the diaper cake a nice spring look. After rolling the diapers, I placed diapers overlapping around the cake to give it a smoother finish. I tied ribbon around each layer to hold it together. Then I decorated it with pins and various baby items. On the top of the cake I placed 3 pastel baby spoons. It turned out really cute. This is a side picture of the cake, so it does not show all the pretty detail of the cake. It was the highlight of the baby shower!

This is a diaper cake I made for my niece. It's the same diaper cake that most people make, but I decorated it a little differently. I added pacifiers, thermometers, diaper cream, baby aspirin and numbing gel.

This was my first diaper cake ever. I made it for my cousins baby shower and everyone really liked it!I used 66 size 1 diapers. On the bottom layer, before I started, I put a layer of bibs on the bottom. Then I began to layer (inside layer-I used rubber bands to secure the layer closest to the baby powder container). On the outside I tied each diaper with ribbon and then when the bottom was done I secured with a It's a girl ribbon. I secured this ribbon with a baby safety pin.I did the second layer the same and the 3rd is when I added the flower at the top. I just added some toys pacifiers, rubber ducks, frogs, teething ring, etc.Since it is a summer cake I added some butterflies and a few it's a girl embellishment stickers on.

The sock roses and diaper cake were a conversation piece for guests and the Mom-to-Be loved them too! AND... I had a great time making the diaper cake. It was much easier to do than I expected.

I already posted photos of this diaper cake. But I had redone it so it looked much cleaner. Friends were amazed at the shower. Here are the new photos. Many items are inside. For the center i used two round containers; one containing baby items, the other for mom (candy, bath salts, etc). I loved doing it and I am planning to make two more soon for my sister in law and best friend. Opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!.

Inspired by this wonderful website, I decided to try my hand at diaper cake making and viola! I rolled 74 size 1 Parent's Choice diapers to make it. There are three rows on the bottom tier, two rows on the second tier and one row on the top tier. The hidden treats in the middle are 1- 8oz bottle and 1-4oz bottle. There are 4 washcloths on the front for decoration along with cupcake toppers of teddy bears and rattles. The ribbon is secured with double sided tape and the topper was $1 at a local dollar store. I LOVE curled ribbon so I had to add some for a finishing touch. Since I have never been crafty, the fact that it only took me about 45 minutes total to roll diapers and assemble this cake makes me VERY proud and sure I am going to try my hand at some of the cakes I've seen on this site!

I was a co-hostess at a shower at my place of employment. I volunteered to make the fruit basket and the diaper cake. I have pictures of both. Have made diaper cakes before but I got my fruit basket instructions from your website.

I made this Diaper Cake for a friend of mine that I threw a shower for recently. It was my first attempt at such a cake, and I'm so pleased with the way it turned out that I thought I would share! Another co-hostess for the shower had gotten a diaper cake at her own shower a few years ago, and was disappointed with the way it was constructed - the pins holding the ribbon to the different layers were actually pinned to the diapers, rendering them unusable after the cake was disassembled! So I primarily used rubber bands, and I made sure that I pinned the ribbon only to itself once I had wrapped it around the cake to prevent holes in the diapers. I pinned the bows to the ribbon, and tied the little goodies onto the large ribbon around the layer and also to the rubber band underneath for stability. I hope this helps someone else out! This site helped me greatly to make my very first diaper cake! :o)

I made this diaper cake from one pack of huggies diapers. The bottom layer has 2 huggies lotions and 4 Mickey Mouse books, as well as a diaper wipe holder. The middle layer is covered with a baby blanket. The top layer has a baby hat covering the diapers. Also included on the cake are binkies, spoons, teething links, pair of socks that match the hat, and a bear teething toy on the back. I used a paper towel roll for the middle of the cake.

My sister-in-law was having a boy and her shower theme was jungle animals. I had made smaller ones in the past, but I wanted this one to be larger since it was for her. I had a lot of fun making this one!

Who did you make it for?
My Grandaughter

How many diapers did you use in your cake?
around 62

What were the ingredients?
I used disposal nappies, ribbon, a Teddy, a cake board, some baby toys, a cardboard roll from paper towel or christmas paper. The Teddy laughed when you sqeezed his heel.

How did you make it?
I made it with rubber bands and hat elastic, ribbons, and a cheap pizza tray covered in baby paper. Everything can be used again, so there is no waste.

Anything else you would like to share with us about your diaper cake or the occasion? I also put a couple of singlets down the tube in the middle. The tube was from a christmas paper roll or a paper towel roll. Either one is good, the stronger the better. My grandaughter loved it. She had never seen them before. This is the first one I have made. I have a feeling wont be the last!

Tell us about your diaper cake! We would love to hear all about it... Who did you make it for? I made this diaper cake for a friend's baby shower.

Was there a theme or style you followed? It was a bath time theme.

How many diapers did you use in your cake? I used 65 diapers.

What were the ingredients? -3 Water toys -1 pacifier -1 rattle -2 towels -1 Johnson Travel Kit -3 Wash Rags -ribbon -size 1 diapers

How did you make it? I rolled diapers and tied them together with string, then I held it together with ribbon. Two layers we held together with bath towels rather then ribbon.

Anything else you would like to share with us about your diaper cake or the occasion? This cake took me about 3 hours placing stuff just to get it to fit right but at the end it worked out very well.
