Elegant Emma Girl Diaper Cake

Tell us about your diaper cake! We would love to hear all about it...

I made this diaper cake for my sister that was having a girl. She was naming her baby Emma and these were the colors she was going to paint her nursery in.

Who did you make it for?

I made this for my sister a year and half ago for her baby girl Emma. She displayed it as her center piece in her baby shower and everyone loved it!

Was there a theme or style you followed?

The theme was the colors of her nursery. I just had some samples of the colors in her nursery and just went and looked around stores and matched them with ribbon and material for the cake. I never know how I am going to design them unless they specify what colors and theme they want. :)

How many diapers did you use in your cake? 60 to 70 diapers

What were the ingredients?

Ribbon, rubberbands, hot glue, wooden dowels, and a cardboard cake circle for the base that was covered in material matching the cake.

How did you make it?

I rolled the diapers and rubberbanded them and placed them around a 8 oz bottle. I made layers and then added the tiers and the top tier was placed around a 4 oz bottle.

Anything else you would like to share with us about your diaper cake or the occasion?

I really enjoyed making this cake because my sister had always wanted a baby girl. She had 2 boys and I wanted to make this a very special cake for her!
